I know that this isn't what you asked, but I thought I would point out that the same method BBBen outlined works for all of the games hosted here. All of the games require a "runner" or "run-time" to play (if it is easier, think of the games like a Word document that requires Microsoft Word to open [or, substitute your favorite word processing program]).
Each separate category of games requires a different runner: ADRIFT 3.9 and 4.0, TADS 2 and 3, Inform 6 and 7, RAGS, etc. This can be a bit confusing when you first start out playing these games, but after a while you get the hang of it.
There is a general all-purpose program that plays just about every game available, call Gargoyle. You can get the latest version from the home page at http://ccxvii.net/gargoyle/, or at the IF Archive http://ftp.ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXinterpreters-multiXgargoyle.html.
