Name: Wuz
Platform: MS-DOS/(GCS?)
Designer: Wayne McWilliams
Release Date: 10/22/1989
Spoilers in Review: Moderate

"Wuz" is probably one of the older AIF games in existence.
I'm guessing it was developed in AGT or another system called GCS,
but I'm not entirely sure. As for the significance of the title?
Don't ask me. It doesn't seem to have any relation to the game at all.

The basic premise of "Wuz", if it can even be said to have one, is this:
you wake up in the middle of nowhere, wander about,
grab anything that isn't nailed down and have sex with anything that seems even
remotely animate (except the dog).

"Wuz" might be a granddaddy, but it should be noted right off that
it doesn't even come close to the gameplay value, writing skill,
or complexity of the even older AIF games that were written for the Commadore 64.
That should be a pretty strong warning right there.

What's sort of funny is that there is a petition at the beginning of the game
by the author, asking players to send him $20 to help defray his costs.
Without the money he claims, he'll have to go the route of retail.
Granted, this was 1989, but still! It only took me ten minutes to get through it,
from start to finish... twice. Twenty bucks is asking a lot for 10 minutes of gameplay.

Of course, that's just apart of it. In most... strike that... almost all ways,
"Wuz" is an extraordinarily simple and immature game. From the atrocious writing,
incomprehensible plot, non-interactive sex scenes and the total of three puzzles,
there really isn't much there. What is there can be a bit strange.
This is the only game I know of that contains a sexual encounter with a mirror.

The one redeeming quality of this game is that this is probably the only AIF
game in existance that allows the player to not only pick the PC's gender,
but also the gender of some of the sex partners.
Yes, there's optional homosexual content here, such as it is.
I don't go for such things, but it does make "Wuz" singularly unique.

The bottom line is that "Wuz" is a waste of time for those looking for good AIF.
It's sexual content and gameplay are terrible, and the game's short length
and limited options give it very little replay value. I certainally wouldn't recommend "wuz" to anyone.

All that said, for cheese value alone, "Wuz" would be a great game to spoof.
